In re-meeting with my pain specialist after this consultation, I was made aware of an enormous amount of relevant/pertinent info (re: next steps or options, and what they would specifically entails etc.) which was not at all mentioned in the consult with Dr. Koutsky. In all, I felt there was so little information gained at the visit I drove an hour for — everything done could have been completed via telehealth, as there wasn’t a physical diagnostic aspect. I wouldn’t have known what kinds of questions to ask, since I’ve never seen this kind of specialist before. Regardless, the type of — frankly, seemingly basic pieces of information re:procedures/outcome — shouldn’t be the patient’s duty to intuit query. I did not feel this visit provided much value, overall. My apologies for the blunt criticism, but it’s worth sharing.
